The Weekend

Happy Memorial Day.
A day late.
Sorry about that.

We had a pretty full weekend. Saturday, Ian went to breakfast with the boys. Jackson wanted to stay home and hang out with me (but mostly just wanted to stay home.) We hung out, ate breakfast, and (gasp) watched Twilight. Well, I cooked eggs while watching Robert Pattison work his best Abercrombie and Fitch poses (think Derek Zoolander.)

Once Ian got back to the ranch, we all packed up and took off to our destination: exotic Lehi. We spent the day and that evening with my little bro and his family. Sadie has been wanting to stay in a hotel, so we arranged it and off we went.

We went and visited Thanksgiving Point, which was lots of fun. Our original plan was to go see the Gardens, but I have yet to find them. Except that one time, which was an accident. They got to play with the animals and go for pony rides. So much fun. Afterwards, we headed back to the hotel for some swimming fun. I was impressed at the stamina of these little kids! They just played hard and continued to play hard while the adults were pooped. Jack "swam" without his lifejacket, which he thought was both scary and exciting. He would stand on my shoulders and jump off all while holding my hand with the death grip!

Later that evening, we decided to go see Night at the Museum 2. (It is a fun show.) We were able to take Olivia with us as well. At that point, the day finally caught up with the bunchkins. They were awake for most of the movie, but zonked out for some of it.

All in all it was a screaming success.

Oh, and by the way, I almost have another side of my yard fenced in. Thank you to McCaleb and my strapping husband. He is so handy. I love watching him out there with tools and concrete and wood. Wow. Impressive stuff, there.

We also saw Star Trek. Less impressive that getting a fence, but just about as fun as the other movie.

Now we can begin putting in the flower beds. Yipee!!!
