Because I am in DESPERATE need of a laugh today...
Here is an actual headline from the Wall Street Journal today:
"Farmers Face Empty-Nest Syndrome Amid Chicken Housing Crisis"
Kay...I don't want to be the guy who laughs at other people's (or poultry, for that matter) misfortune, but really? I guess this goes to show that even the delicious juiciness of that thing you serve next to rice is not immune from the current recession.
Maybe they should take up a "cluck"lection (collection, see? collection! HILARIOUS!) before they all decide to fly the "coop" (HAHAHAHA!!!!!)
Here are the first few paragraphs from the article:
"CENTER RIDGE, Ark. -- Like many Americans, Darris and Sarah Dixon are struggling with mortgage payments and trying to avoid bankruptcy.
But the home the Dixons live in isn't the problem. The problem is their three chicken houses, on which they owe nearly $500,000.
'There's no way we'll make the chicken house payments,' Mr. Dixon says from his farm abutting the Ozark Mountains.
A chicken housing crisis has cropped up in the U.S., and it's producing some of the same bleak results as the human one -- foreclosures, lawsuits and devastated homeowners."
If only those chickens had stayed away from that evil interest only mortgage loan, they might be clucking a different tune.

NO...I have not fallen off the end of the earth!
Well, maybe I have. A little. CFP has taken over my life and in those moments I am studying, I wish I was doing something else AND while I am doing other things, I feel guilty about not studying. Sounds a bit reminiscent of my days in the "Pink World" (am I right, Suz?)
Anyhow, I will give updates as I can. Update for now: We are all still alive and kicking. And Jackson has parent teacher conference tomorrow. Love those!
