There is a bill in congress (H.R. 653) that is targeted on research for pediatric brain tumors. Our rep-UT on the committee is Jim Matheson and the person we need from his office to attend is Shayna Bevin (202) 225-3011. Our goal is to have this legislation make it out of the committee and presented to the floor for debate, but we can’t do that unless we have the necessary people in attendance to the briefing. Brain Tumors are the second highest in deaths for children with cancer. If there is any way possible you could call Shayna and urge her to attend, our family would be greatly appreciative. We are asking that she attend the congressional briefing for Pediatric Brain Tumors and H.R. 653 on March 25th at noon in room 2200 in the Rayburn House Office Building.
